Itinerary

  1. 9:00 AMA local guide picks you up at your hotel.
  2. 9:15 AMTransfer to Cam Thanh village by boat or car; on the way, meet local fishermen and see their daily life.
  3. 10:00 AMRide a bamboo basket boat through the water coconut forest with a short introduction to its history. Try round-net and cast-net fishing, learn to paddle the basket boat and join a race, catch crabs and drop the net.
  4. Welcome drink at a fisherman’s house, then a meal at a local restaurant.
  5. 11:30 AMReturn to your hotel. End of tour.

The afternoon tour runs from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM with the same programme.

Good to know

  • Basket boats sit low on the water; expect to get a little wet.
  • Pick-up and drop-off at hotels in Hoi An. Pick-up in Da Nang or outside Hoi An can be arranged for a surcharge.
  • A surcharge of 100,000 VND per person applies on 1 January, 30 April – 1 May and on the 2nd to 5th days of Tet.

Cancellation

  • Free cancellation until 9:00 PM on the day before the tour.
  • After 9:00 PM on the day before: 300,000 VND per person.
  • Private tours: 100% charge if cancelled within 72 hours of departure.
